Gordon Warnecke was born in North London and is a trained actor. He has worked extensively in film, theatre and television. Most noteably he played the co-lead with Daniel Day-Lewis in the film My Beautiful Laundrette which was directed by Stephen Frears and was also in Franco Zeffirelli's Young Toscanini. He has appeared in many television shows including Only Fools And Horses, A Fatal Inversion and most recently Holby City for the BBC and also Venus, a Canadian feature film which premiered in London June 2018. Theatre has included a season with the RSC and tours with Tara Arts and the Unicorn Theatre. As well as writing and developing his own scripts, in the last few years he has worked very closely with Martin Doyle and his film company A Tad Too Far Productions and has been a 1st Assistant Director as well as a Producer and Production manager on many of Martin's films. Over the last couple of years, whilst still being an actor, he has moved into directing as he believes very strongly in wanting to tell a story well and feels that being behind the camera will enable him to do this.
